These high tensile jaws are specially heat treated for cutting extra hard material.  They have a short cutting edge to accommodate chain links, rods, and high tensile bolts, and wire found in pre-stressed concrete.  The maximum permissible hardness: BRINELL 450 & ROCKWELL C 48.
